The Topeka Blue Thunder Wrestling Club is organized for Washburn Rural and Topeka area youth wrestlers to promote the sport of wrestling. Club registration is $115, which includes a USA Wrestling Card and a wrestling singlet. Birth certificates will be required for club participation. Club fees are as follows:
$175 for the first wrestler
$100 for each additional wrestler
Club fees include USAW card with insurance, singlet, and team fees.
Practices:
Location: Washburn Rural High School Wrestling Room
Open and Novice Practice: Tues/Thurs - 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Tournaments:
Cost: $10.00 - $20.00 per tournament
Open Tournaments: Every Saturday starting in December and ending in April.
Novice Tournaments: Every Sunday starting in January and ending in February.
Locations: Tournaments are typically held within an hour driving distance with some local tournaments.
Times: Tournament weigh-ins are typically held from 7:00 - 8:30 a.m. with wrestling starting at 9:00 a.m. and ending from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Registration: We will have a contact person to register for the upcoming tournaments. Registrations along with the tournament fees must be paid two weeks prior to the tournament date.
