The following agenices offer a variety of resources for children and families.  For more information about their services, click on the agency name below, contact them directly, or contact a member of our Guidance Department.  If you have specific needs, please call us for additional information.  

    Family Service and Guidance Center - 785.232.5005

    FSGC provides mental health care for children from birth to 18.  They offer a variety of services including outpatient treatment for children and families, specific case management, a variety of support groups, continuing education and more.  
    The number listed above is accessible 24 hours a day in the event of a crisis.

     

    Family Resource Center - 785.274.3100

    The KSCL Family Resource Center offers access to a variety of resources in Shawnee County for children, adults and families.  This agency offers more comprehensive services including parenting questions, aging parent, drug and alcohol, and abuse. 

     

    Prevention and Recovery Services – 785.266.8666

    PARS provides free evaluations for youth who may be at risk.  They help identify issues involving relationships at school, with parents or in the community.  They provide alcohol and drug evaluations and refer individuals and families to appropriate services. 

     

    Parent and Adolescent Mediation Project – 785.232.4144

    Parent and adolescent mediation is a facilitated problem-solving strategy for families in conflict.  With the help of a trained mediator, family members are assisted in seeing each others’ points of view.
