Varsity Head Coach Todd McAtee

 

Varsity Assistant Coach Jared Goehring

Coach Goehring is in his tenth year as an assistant coach for the Washburn Rural boys basketball program. Coach Goehring currently is the varsity assistant coach for the Junior Blues. He is in his 11th year of coaching high school basketball and has taught at Washburn Rural High School for 6 years. Coach Goehring began his coaching career at Topeka West High School in 2001 as an assistant coach for the girls program. He was an assistant coach for his father, Coach Mike Goehring, for one season. He currently teaches in the Physical Education department and serves as the department chair.

Coach Goehring is a graduate of Washburn University, where he played on the golf team. He helped lead the Ichabods to a MIAA Conference Championship in 2001. Goehring has also coached boy's golf at WRHS since 2006 and helped guide them to a State Championship in 2009.

Junior Varsity Head Coach Kyle Fowler

This is Coach Fowler’s ninth year coaching boys basketball at WRHS, second as the JV coach.  Prior to becoming the head JV coach, Coach Fowler served as the sophomore coach for three years, and Freshman coach for four years.  Coach Fowler teaches Government and US History throughout the school year and also serves as the assistant tennis coach for both the girls and boys tennis teams.

Coach Fowler graduated from Washburn University where he played football for Tony DeMeo and Craig Schurig.

Freshman Head Coach Clint Robinson

Coach Robinson began his coaching career at Oxford High School as the boys head JV/Varsity Assistant coach in 2003. Robinson relocated to Great Bend and helped one year with the instructional boys and girls basketball programs at Great Bend Middle School and also with the 7th grade football program. The following year, Robinson became the head freshman girls basketball coach, as well as an 8th grade football and middle school track assistant.

While at Washburn Rural, Robinson has coached Freshman boys basketball, Freshman girls basketball and Sophomore volleyball. He teaches Accounting 1, Honors Advanced Accounting, Sports & Entertainment Marketing, Banking & Finance (WRHS Bank), and Investing (WRHS Bank). This is Robinson's fourth year at WRHS.

Coach Robinson graduated from Southwestern College in Winfield KS, where he earned a degree in Business Administration and played football for the Moundbuilders. Robinson also completed his master's degree in Business Education in May 2009.
