Our goal is to cover a wide range of classical mythologies. We will learn about archetypes and search for their repeating patterns that recur in myths regardless of time period or culture. We will understand and recognize how the various mythologies continue to influence our culture even in today's technology-driven world. By the end of the semester, students will be well-versed in the myths' major gods and goddesses, heroes, and their stories.
