Born in Topeka, Kansas. Went to school at Tecumseh South and Shawnee Heights High School. Attended Baker University. Worked at TARC for 2 years. Moved to St. Joseph, MO. Taught at Mid-Buchanan Elementary for 5 years. Moved back to Topeka and began teaching at Pauline Central in the fall of 1989.
