Expectations in the classroom:
6th grade expectations: (Based upon "Love & Logic/Jim Faye's behavior model)
1. I will treat you with respect so you will know how to treat me.
2. Feel free to do anything that doesn't cause a problem for anyone else on the planet!
3. If you cause a problem, I will ask you to solve it.
4. If you can't solve the problem, or choose not to, I will do something.
5. What I do, will depend on the special person, and the special situation.
6. If you feel something is unfair, let me know and we will talk privately.
The consequences in our classes are:
1. The consequence will depend upon the situation.
Rewards in our class:
1. Privilege party at the end of each quarter. (see passport in student's notebook)
2. Positive notes
3. Free time
4. Free recess
5. videos (following our curriculum standards)
6. Fantastic Friday happens at the end of each semester. Students qualify having FEWER THAN 2 DETENTIONS, NO SUSPENSIONS, 2 BUS WRITE UPS EQUAL ONE DETENTION.

Study Buddies:
Homeroom meets once a month with a younger class to work on either math, reading, or writing activites. This teaches: compassion, kindness, patience, and understanding with younger students. It also allows us to work on being positive role models.
