"Travel As A Political Act" by Rick Steves.
I enjoy reading non-fiction and biographies. I am usually reading several books and magazines at one time and I often start at
the last chapter. I love libraries, bookmobiles, book stores and book sales. I grew up in Ft. Scott, Ks. and lived 3 blocks from
the library and swimming pool. It was perfect. I thank my parents and teachers for instilling a love for reading.
I am a native Kansan. I am married to Kim, who teaches at Holton Middle School. I have two daughters, Kacy and Jana, and two
grandchildren. Kaden is 5 and in Kindergarten and he's my waterboy for WRMS football games. Callie was born in August 2009 and
is just beautiful.
I have taught at WRMS since it opened in 1990. I am a proud member of the Voyager Team.
I enjoy reading, sports, traveling, babysitting our grandkids, my two dogs - Farley, a 17 year old Cocker Spaniel and Buddy, a
5 year old Flat-coated Retriever, and I am fortunate to have all my family living in Topeka. Some of my goals are to visit all
50 states and state capitals, travel to every Kansas county, and as many National Parks as we can make it to.
I have taught at Maple Hill Elementary, Pauline South Middle School, Jay Shideler Middle School and WRMS.
This is my 32nd year of teaching and I tell people this is the best school and best profession in America. Feel free to call me
or e-mail me any time you have a question or concern. We want this to be their best year of school ever.
