The Creative Director, Lisk

Doug is the Assistant Director of Bands at Washburn Rural High School and on the Applied Arts team at Washburn Rural Middle School. Graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) with a Bachelor of Music Education, Doug has a very diverse musical background. A saxophone major at UNL, he was involved with the jazz bands, symphonic band, wind ensemble, chamber groups, and the Cornhusker Marching Band, for which he was a drum major. He toured three summers for the Colts Drum & Bugle Corps (out of Dubuque, Iowa), for which he played baritone, euphonium, and was a drum major as well. Finally, he was a saxophonist, clarinetist, and composer for a student led polka band, Less Talk More Polka, touring around Nebraska preserving its rich Czech, Polish, and German heritage.
